Goldblum and Partners

Brand, website and all the communication design for an independent Swiss law firm — restrained, precise and a touch engraved. The project received a Red Dot Award 2026 in the corporate design category.

Context

Goldblum and Partners is an independent Swiss law firm operating since 2007: corporate law, M&A, tax, intellectual property, bankruptcy and financial regulation. Beyond legal services — fiduciary services, independent representation on boards of directors, and support for liquidations and restructuring.

Five offices — Zug, Zurich, Lugano, Geneva, Bern. Clients are international: from fintech and crypto to family offices. The firm's reputation and ratings are impeccable — what was missing was a visual language to convey that at first glance.

Objective

Create a brand identity and digital presence that honestly convey three things: expertise, reliability and Swiss precision. A modern, professional brand and a convenient, intuitive website for a global audience — without legal pathos or clichéd scales of justice.

Role

I was the art director on the project at Anthracite studio and created all of the firm's communication design: branding, website, all blog articles, presentations — every point of contact between the brand and the client.

Identity

Swiss design in the literal sense: typography as the foundation, restraint, plenty of air — and an engraving illustration style as the signature accent, a bridge between the tradition of law and modern practice.

Logo. Having defined the meanings the brand should carry, we explored the shape of the symbol and the typography. The mark draws on the classic Swiss cantonal coat of arms — a shield, a universal symbol of protection and trust. The first letter of the firm's name is integrated into the shield: the emblem says the main thing — the firm safeguards its clients' interests. The refined form keeps a balance between tradition and modernity.

Engraving style

The signature accent is engraving: alpine peaks and wavy textures on the collateral, engraved portraits of the partners on badges and the website. It is a bridge between the centuries-old tradition of law and modern practice. Red works only in the mark and accidental type — everything else is black on white.

Website

The website had to reflect the core values of Goldblum and Partners — precision, professionalism and trust. We wanted a digital experience that conveys the firm's legal expertise while remaining clear and intuitive for a human.

We bet on a clean, structured layout with restrained details in the Swiss aesthetic: balanced grids, clear typography and a concise palette that speaks of authority and seriousness. We paid separate attention to usability and navigation — so that both a new visitor and a long-standing client quickly find what they need. The structure follows the client's tasks: nine practices and ten industry desks, a knowledge base, cases and testimonials — in five working languages.

As a result, the website does not just present the firm's services clearly — it reinforces its reputation as a modern, client-oriented legal partner.

Communication design

Every medium — from a firm publication to a paper bag — speaks one language. Blog articles (all of them — from structure to graphics), firm presentations, printed materials: a system in which any touch of the brand is recognizable at first glance.

SMM

To strengthen the firm's digital presence, we built a clean and consistent social-media style based on the identity. The visuals rest on minimalist layouts, refined typography and a neutral palette — all working toward a sense of professionalism.

The content is about legal insights, firm news and curated industry news, delivered in a tone that is both expert and human. In the end, social media builds trust and cements the firm as a reliable voice in the legal field.

UI Kit

I put together a detailed UI kit in Figma — on components, variants and organisms. It solves several tasks at once:

  • Speed for the designer. A new entity is assembled from ready-made components in minutes rather than drawn from scratch.
  • Autonomy for managers. The firm's team can lay out a design for social media or communication themselves — without breaking the design concept.
  • Ready for AI development. The firm is moving to AI development: Claude Code reads the design inputs correctly and generates entities on its own — without hallucinations or improvisation.

The main thing — the design stays predictable: one system equally clear to a human and to a machine.

Brand color palette

White is the primary colour: it works 60% of the time. Secondary supporting colours — 30%. We use the accent to highlight individual elements, and that is only 10%.

Result

The project received a Red Dot Award 2026 in the corporate design category. And most importantly — the firm got a visual language worthy of its reputation: restrained, precise, Swiss.
